RC Flights Club is a community web app for RC and simulator pilots. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

We try to collect as little information as possible.

When you create an account, we collect your username, password information, and optional display name. Your password is stored as a protected password hash, not as plain text.

If you connect Discord, we collect your Discord ID and username. If you enable Discord alerts, we store the settings needed to send those alerts.

If you link the supported game (RC Pilot Trainer), we create a game link token so the game can recognize your account. We store only a hash of the game token, not the raw token. We may also store when the link was created, when it was last used, and limited IP information for security and abuse prevention.

If you use clubs, events, or live game sessions, we store the information needed to show those features, such as club memberships, event details, session names, host display names, player counts, and event or session access details.

We may use Cloudflare Turnstile or similar tools to protect signup and login forms from abuse.

How we use information

We use your information only to provide and protect the service. This includes:

• creating and managing your account;
• showing club memberships, events, and live sessions;
• linking your account with the supported game;
• sending Discord alerts, if you turn them on;
• preventing spam, abuse, and unauthorized access;
• fixing bugs and supporting users.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising.

Sharing with the supported game and technical partners

RC Pilot Trainer may receive limited information needed for the integration to work, such as your display name, your active club list, and game-link status.

We may share limited technical information with the developer of RC Pilot Trainer or other service providers when needed to operate, debug, secure, or support the service. They may only use that information for those purposes, not for advertising or resale.

We may also share information if required by law or to protect the safety and security of users, the site, or the community.

Public and community information

Some information you add to the site may be visible to other users or the public, depending on how the feature works. For example, public club pages, public events, display names, and live session details may be visible to other users.

Do not post private information in club descriptions, event descriptions, session names, or application messages.

Discord

If you connect Discord, Discord handles its own login and authorization process. We only store the Discord information needed to link your account and provide Discord features. You can unlink Discord from your account unless Discord is your only login method.

Game linking

When you link the supported game, the game receives a token that lets it talk to RC Flights Club for your account. You can unlink the game from your account page. Linking a new game install may replace the old link.

Data retention

We keep account information while your account is active. Temporary link codes and live-session records are intended to expire or be cleaned up. Some records may be kept longer when needed for security, moderation, backups, or community integrity.

Unverified inactive accounts may be removed after the period shown in the app. Archived clubs may be deleted after the period shown in the app.

Your choices

You can:

• update your display name and account settings;
• unlink Discord, when it is not your only login method;
• unlink the supported game;
• turn Discord alerts on or off;
• ask us to delete or correct your account information.

Children

This service is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us so we can review and remove the account if appropriate. Users under the age of majority should use the service only with permission from a parent or guardian.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the service, including password hashing, access controls, rate limiting, secure cookies in production, and anti-abuse tools. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we will update the date above and may show a notice in the app.
